Hiebert, Tessa Green A new Occupational Health and Safety Act has been introduced by Alberta’s Legislature that will come into effect on Proclamation. Once it is proclaimed into force, the new Act will repeal the current Occupational Health and Safety Act, SA 2017 c. O-2.1 (“Current Act ”).


6/1/2018  · This regulation is made under section 40(1)(i.1) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and specifies rules governing the administration of administrative penalties including notice, amount and time for payment.


4/8/2021  · The Government of Alberta will replace the current Occupational Health and Safety Act (Old OHSA) with a new version ( the New OHSA). The changes will come into force and effect upon proclamation. A date for proclamation has not yet been announced. A summary of the expected OHSA changes is as follows.


4/8/2021  · The new and improved OHS Act will take effect in the fall of 2021. “With this improved overall health and safety framework in place, Alberta’s government is turning its focus to specific technical rules and requirements in the OHS Code.


11/16/2020  · OHS Legislative Change in Alberta is Coming Around Again – Very Likely September 2021. What is old is not necessarily new again. But changes are very likely coming (again!) and are expected to be in effect on September 1, 2021. Bill 47: Ensuring Safety and Cutting Red Tape Act passed first reading on November 5, 2020.


Waged, non-family farm and ranch workers are protected under basic safety standards in the OHS Act as of January 31, 2020. Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Council (OHSAC) Provides advice to government to better protect Alberta workers.
